Martyn Cobourne is Professor and Academic Head of Orthodontics at King’s College London and Honorary Consultant in Orthodontics at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. He has over 220 peer-reviewed articles listed in PubMed, including outputs in Nature Genetics, Nature Communications and PNAS USA. He is also author of the popular Handbook of Orthodontics textbook, now in its third edition. He was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Orthodontics from 2012-2022. He won the B. F. and Helen E. Dewel Award of the American Association of Orthodontists for the most outstanding clinical research article published in the AJODO in 2019. He was elected to the Faculty Board of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2017 and is the Dean-elect for 2026-2029.
